Norma Group Reports Stable Q2 2025 Results

Despite challenging economic conditions, Norma Group achieved stable profitability in the second quarter of 2025. Sales for the quarter amounted to €290.4 million, representing a 5.2% decline compared to Q2 2024. The company cited currency effects, muted demand, and pressure on sales as contributing factors.

Adjusted EBIT was €23.4 million, down 10.4% year-on-year, while the EBIT margin stood at 8.1%, slightly below the previous year’s figure but well above Q1 2025 levels. Importantly, net operating cash flow improved significantly, reaching €31.6 million. Norma Group emphasized that despite market pressures, performance aligned with expectations, demonstrating resilience and a strong foundation for recovery in the second half of 2025.

Optimas Solutions Expands into Singapore

Optimas Solutions, a global distributor and manufacturer of fasteners and C-class components, has announced the incorporation of Optimas OE Technologies Pte, Ltd in Singapore. This move strengthens the company’s presence in Southeast Asia and supports its partners across the region.

The expansion will enhance supply chain efficiency, mitigate geopolitical risks, and provide increased local support for suppliers and customers. Optimas sees this step as critical to delivering continued service, efficiency, and cost advantages. The company also confirmed its participation as an exhibitor at Fastener Expo Frankfurt 2026, underlining its commitment to international growth and industry engagement.

Bossard Launches Expert Education Online Training

Swiss fastening technology specialist Bossard has unveiled its Expert Education online training courses, designed to provide hands-on, customized learning opportunities for fastener professionals.

The courses cover essential areas of assembly technology, including:

PennEngineer Introduces ReelFast® Fastening Solutions

PennEngineer has introduced its innovative ReelFast® Surface Mount Fasteners (SMT), designed for printed circuit boards. These fasteners mount directly onto PCBs alongside other surface-mount components before the automated reflow soldering process, eliminating the need for bulky hardware or extra assembly steps.

By integrating seamlessly into automated SMT processes, ReelFast® solutions reduce secondary installation costs and minimize the risk of PCB damage. Delivered on tape and reel, the fasteners are compatible with standard SMT installation equipment, offering a streamlined solution for manufacturers of electronic assemblies.
